Training Camp No. 6

23-29 November 2025 | Poiana Brasov, Romania

Level 2 Olympic Weightlifting Training Camp No. 6 🇷🇴

📅 November 23–29, 2025
📍 Poiana Brașov, Romania

Level 2 Training Camp No. 6 brought together three athletes who previously completed a Level 1 camp and were ready for a more advanced, immersive experience. Unlike Level 1, where the main goal is building strong foundations, Level 2 is a completely different week—designed for athletes who want to push harder, lift heavier, and experience the type of training I went through during my Romanian National Team years.

This edition took place in beautiful Poiana Brașov, a location with a long weightlifting tradition and the perfect environment for high-volume, focused training. Level 2 camps are more intense, more dynamic, and offer athletes the chance to train side-by-side with me, following a structure similar to the training camps I attended 15 years ago.

Athletes Who Joined Level 2 Training Camp No. 6

Antony Waterman – United Kingdom

Matteo Rubiero – Italy

Florian Gelev – Germany

These athletes already had solid technique from their Level 1 camps, which allowed us to move immediately into advanced training.

What Makes Level 2 Special

Level 2 training camps are not like Level 1. Here, the coaching format changes completely:

I train together with the athletes

Instead of coaching from the side the entire time, I go through the sessions with the group. This gives athletes the chance to learn by observing pacing, intensity, rest periods, and how a high-level lifter structures a session.

More variations and complexity

Level 2 includes many lifts I used in my own preparation cycles:

power variations

complexes

pulls with tempo or pauses

squats with bar speed focus

old Romanian accessory lifts

These help athletes break plateaus and understand the deeper layers of the snatch and clean & jerk.

Old-school Romanian programming

On some days, we train EXACTLY like we used to in the Romanian system—moderate volume but high concentration, strict rest control, and disciplined execution. Athletes always say this part gives them the most powerful feeling of the camp.

Technique focus at the end of the week

The final day is dedicated 100% to technique for the snatch and clean & jerk.
This is where the week comes together and athletes apply everything they learned while being less fatigued.

Level 2 is not only harder—it is deeper, more educational, and gives athletes the real experience of Romanian performance training.

Training Structure of the Week

During Level 2 Training Camp No. 6, athletes completed:

High-volume lifting sessions together with the coach

Classic Romanian variations and complexes

Squat and pull progressions used in national camps

Mobility and recovery sequences

Final-day technical refinement

Sauna and relaxation sessions to help manage fatigue

Because everyone at Level 2 already completed Level 1, the intensity and speed of the sessions were much higher. There was no need to revisit basics—we focused directly on improvement and performance.

Message From Coach Gabriel Sincraian

“Level 2 Training Camp No. 6 brought back the feeling of the old Romanian training camps I grew up with. Training together with Antony, Matteo, and Florian reminded me of those years when we pushed each other to become better lifters. They worked hard, adapted fast, and made this week truly special.”

Continue Improving

To maintain progress after the camp, athletes can continue building strength and practising correct technique inside the Super Weightlifting App:

Why This Edition Was Unique

Training side-by-side instead of only coaching created a powerful team dynamic. Athletes experienced real working rhythms, real rest times, and the real complexity of Romanian-style programming.

Each lifter left with a deeper understanding of what high-level weightlifting feels like, not just how it looks. This mix of intensity, variation, and education is what makes Level 2 unforgettable.

How to Join a Level 2 Camp

Level 2 training camps are INVITATION-ONLY and are available exclusively to athletes who have already completed a Level 1 camp. This ensures that everyone arrives with a strong foundation, solid technique, and the discipline required for more advanced training.

If you want to participate in a future Level 2 camp, here’s how it works:

1. Complete a Level 1 Camp

This is mandatory. Only athletes who have finished a Level 1 camp become eligible for Level 2.

2. Get Added to the Private WhatsApp Group

After completing Level 1, all athletes are added to an exclusive WhatsApp group.
This group receives all the early announcements for upcoming Level 2 camps.

👉 Level 2 spots are NEVER announced publicly, only inside this group.

3. Follow Updates on Instagram & YouTube

You’ll see highlights, training clips, and reminders about upcoming events.

4. Continue Improving Between Camps

Using the Super Weightlifting App, athletes stay on track, build strength, and keep improving their technique until the next camp.

Level 2 is where you train like a real Romanian weightlifter.
