What is No Foot Clean?
No foot clean, also known as the no jump clean, is a variation of the clean in Olympic weightlifting. It is a drill used to improve technique and balance in the lifts.
In the no foot clean, the athlete lifts the barbell from the floor and catches it in a squat position, but does not use their feet to push off the ground. This forces the athlete to rely on their upper body strength and technique to lift the barbell and can help them improve their balance and control in the lift.
No foot clean is typically used as a teaching tool or as a drill to practice specific technical aspects of the clean. They are not typically performed as a competition lift.
